Sunneuv Privacy Policy
Sunneuv provides UV index and weather information, sun-exposure timers, and related alerts. We process only the data needed to provide these features.
Data We Process
- Location and weather requests: With your permission, the app uses your current location to retrieve weather and UV data. Your coordinates are used to make requests to Apple WeatherKit and the Sunneuv weather service.
- Personalization settings: Your selected skin type, SPF, and exposed-skin percentage are used to estimate sunburn time and provide vitamin D guidance.
- Notification device information: If you enable background high-UV alerts, we store a push token, installation identifier, alert preferences, time zone, and alert location so that we can deliver relevant notifications.
- Apple Health: Access to HealthKit data is controlled by your HealthKit permissions. Sunneuv does not upload your HealthKit records to Sunneuv servers.
- Subscription information: When you purchase Sunneuv+, Apple processes the payment, while RevenueCat handles receipt validation, subscription status, and entitlements. Sunneuv does not receive your payment-card details.
How We Use and Share Data
We use data only to provide weather and UV information, personalized calculations, alerts, subscription entitlements, troubleshooting, and service security. To provide these features, we may use Apple WeatherKit, Open-Meteo, Apple Push Notification service, Apple HealthKit, and RevenueCat. We do not sell your personal data.
Data Retention and Your Controls
Your sun-exposure history and most preferences are stored on your device. Push-subscription information is stored on our servers only for as long as needed to provide background alerts. You can disable location, notification, or Health permissions, turn off high-UV alerts, and manage or cancel your subscription in your device settings.
Children's Privacy
Sunneuv is not intended to collect personal information from children. If we learn that such information has been collected unintentionally, we will take steps to delete it.
